So, the process of making cream stew is pretty much the same with making Japanese curry.
Sauté Chicken, then onion, carrots, and potato.
Add some water, bring it to boil and cook until the vegetables are soft.
Then, add the “cream stew sauce mix” out of box.
That’s it.
I like to add some boiled broccoli for the pretty color and nutrition when I serve.
It’s an easy to make comfort food.

Thank you for this recipe! I brought some packs of this cream stew mix back from japan but forgot how to make it..
Thanks for sharing!! I want to give it a try! :) By the way, can you use beef instead of chicken? Will that taste weird you think?

It taste really good with beef too (the soft ones cut into cubes-if you buy it from Mitsuwa market, it says "curry beef" beef on the box). The "House" brand for the stew mix taste better than "S&B" brand. :) S&B has a corn stew flavor one which is realllly good too.
Amamzing! By the way, where can i get these sauce mix?? at Japanese market?? i heard about Golden Curry from S&B, but didn't know about this mix. I am in Northridge, CA area, can you kindly let me know where to get the cream stew mix?
I have to try these too, yes mostly you can only find these in Japanese markets. The pics don't show it, but this will go great with rice.
I found the Cream Stew as a stew too rich for my liking...so I decided to use it as pasta sauce! Really good. Just cook with onions/salmon/mushroom and pour over pasta. Use less water than stated on the package for a creamier sauce.
Add a salad to complete the meal :3
